Another doll made for my fairy tale series. She has been in my head for a long time so it was fun to finally work on the project. I took an old frame and made it into a shadow box with foam core and vintage wallpapers. Making the bed and mattresses were so much fun because I have so many vintage fabrics to pick from! Her hair is a little wild. I am making these dolls from a wire armature and paper clay head so they are fully posable. Notice she has little beaded slippers. Can you find the culprit in the bed which made our little princess all black and blue??
Here you can see the little beaded chandelier I made for her room box.

Little Red
She is relaxed right now...awaiting the wolf! Little Red is 8 inches tall and fully posable. She is made from paper maché, wire, paper and vintage textiles. Her little basket is crafted from birch bark and leather. She will be part of a fairy tale series which is something I've always wanted to do.
I am currently making lots of new work for a show that I will be exhibiting at Burdick's Restaurant in Walpole, New Hampshire beginning April 4, 2017.
